Manufacturer and builder 1, 1879
— We find it recommended to take the white of an egg and mix with water, (equal parts of each), beat it to a froth, sad filter through linen. Mix in fine vermilion so as to make a thick liquid; write with a quill pen, and when dry fix it to the cloth by pressing it on the back with a hot iron. It is claimed that such writing will not be attacked by soap, alkalies, or soda, and that the ink will keep in well closed bottles.
