Coloring Cigar Wrapper.

Manufacturer and builder 1, 1882

The practice of coloring bad colored and spotted tobacco for cigars wrappers, is no doubt very general among cigar manufacturers. they are said to use generally dilute dye-wood extracts in ammoniacal solution. The practice is not specially hurtful, but, like every form of falsification, we look upon it as reprehensible.
