Manufacturer and builder 11, 1873
This question has been answered in our September number for 1872, query 456. The proportions do not make much difference, but may be varied quite considerably, and, in fact, the ingredients used in very different proportions, according to the deeper or paler color of the brass and the glade of color which it is desired to communicate to it. The ordinary coloring material added is the so-called dragon's blood.
