(3015) Rubber-stamp ink.

Manufacturer and builder 6, 1882

We notice the following recipe in one of our technical exchenges, which is recommended to give an excellent ink, and which, while not drying up on the pad, will not readily smear when impressed upon the paper: Aniline red (violet), 90 grains; boiling distilled water, 1 ounce; glyeerine, ½ teaspoonful; treacle, half as much as glycerine. The crystals of the violet dye are to be powdered and rubbed up wills the boiling water, and the other ingredients must be stirred in.
