The practice of coloring bad colored and spotted tobacco for cigars wrappers, is no doubt very general among cigar manufacturers. they are said to use generally dilute dye-wood extracts in ammoniacal solution. The practice is not specially hurtful, but, like every form of falsification, we look upon it as reprehensible.
