The green coloring matter of plants, chlorophyll, is being extracted in England for use in treating anemia. Spinach and lettuce are the plants from which the concentrated chlorophyll is most frequently taken. According to Dr. Peter E. de Rees, London pharmacologist, the plant extract is more easily assimilated by the system than the iron extracts and strychine previously used.
